Support for the ongoing formation of those who serve the Diocese of Dallas as ordained clergy, as well as providing support for those men discerning a life of service to the faithful as deacons, comprises a significant portion of the Bishop’s Annual Appeal.
This support ensures that our clergy are able to meet the changing pastoral needs of our dynamic faith communities while ensuring that those called to the deaconate receive the best formation possible.
Funds provided to the Clergy and Diaconal Ministries help support the following:
- Diaconal Ministries: Offers essential formation, support and education to men considering and currently serving as deacons.
- Vocation: Provides support for men considering a life of ordained service.
- Clergy Health Assistance: Assists in providing medical services for retired priests who lived a life in service to people of the Diocese of Dallas.
- Vicar for Clergy: Delivers ongoing spiritual guidance
